Dhakshina Coaching and Test Centre was started in 2002 with the main focus of providing students with the right environment and best possible guidance through well qualified and experienced teachers. Our teachers ensure that the students get all the guidance needed not only to do well in school exams, but to top them. With a wide range of courses on offer, students can choose packages to suit their needs.

Founder
Dr.Vasantha Krishnaswamy –She was the principal of D.A.V.Mat.Hr.Sec.School in Gopalapuram since the inception of the school. Under her guidance, the school produced outstanding results in the Board examinations year after year. The students topped in the state in individual subjects and in the cumulative totals. Prior to that, she taught Maths, Physics and Computer Science in D.A.V. (C.B.S.E.) Gopalapuram for 16 years. She further added to her achievements, a doctorate in Education.

Facilities
We believe that where you learn is as important as what you learn. We have two air conditioned centres in Chennai at T.Nagar and Mylapore. We provide residential facility for students from places outside Chennai. A comfortable stay, good food and a responsible care taker is assured.

Ms. Parvathi Kruparam

Mrs.Parvathy Kruparam – Co-ordinator – T.Nagar branch

Mrs.Parvathy is an excellent Maths teacher having a long span of experience at D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram. She taught up to class X and produced excellent results in Mathematics. After retirement she has joined Dhakshina and has undertaken the responsibility of coordinating the T.Nagar Branch.

Heads of Departments
We have highly qualified and vastly experienced teachers as heads of department for all the core subjects. This team of teachers prepares the course material and the evaluation system for the students. They prepare this course material after rigorous research into the syllabus and design it such that it is comprehensive and easy to understand. They also periodically review the material to ensure that it is accurate and

up-to-date. This core group of teachers guides the other teachers in effective teaching methods which ensure that the students gain clarity in concepts and score highly in examinations.

Mr.Hareendran – The HOD of our Maths department, he has been in the field of education for the past 35 years, having taught CBSE syllabi from class X to XII at leading schools in Chennai and abroad. His enormous experience in teaching Maths is only surpassed by his work in training other teachers. He has worked with students at many levels from schools, training institutes to colleges in India and abroad. He has played critical roles in developing teaching methodologies for Maths.

Mrs.K.Jayalalitha – Physics Faculty
Mrs.Jayalalitha is a excellent teacher in Physics with vast experience. She has worked as a lecturer in a College for about five years. She joined school teaching at D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram. She served as P.G.T. in Physics for five years at D.A.V. and one year at P.S.B.B. She handles higher secondary classes at Dhakshina and also AIEEE fir XII & XI and IIT Foundation for IX and X. She has prepared excellent course materials for all the classes for Regular and Entrance Exams. She has a very strong and sound knowledge in the subject and can guide the children very well for whatever examination they undertake.

Mr.Farooq – He is the HOD of our Chemistry department. He has worked in various Government colleges for about 30 years, of which for 10 years as HOD. He has also worked with students preparing for Entrance exams to professional colleges for 10 years.

Mrs. Radhika – She worked for 12 years as a PGT in the Biology Dept. of D.A.V.Hr.Sec.School,Gopalapuram and as a Principal in M.Ct.M.Trust Centenary Mat.Hr.Sec. School for 4½ years thereafter. At present she is running the Kilpauk branch of DCC.
